Parcel delivery: fleet management for courier companies

Many vehicles, many drivers, many stops — this fleet does not need to be tracked, it needs to be operated. Automatically.

In a courier fleet, logbooks, proof of delivery, vehicle condition and costs have to be kept under control with several hundred stops a day, changing drivers and constant time pressure. FleetControl automates this: the logbook is generated stop by stop, drivers can be evaluated and compared objectively, service deadlines do not slip — and the tax-free driver allowance under the rules of the Hungarian Tax Authority (NAV) reduces both costs and staff turnover.

The benefits

  • Automatic logbook with notes and file attachments for each stop (as proof of delivery, POD)
  • Partner visit log: searchable by delivery point — who spent how much time there and when
  • Driver behaviour analysis: 32+ parameters, comparable independently of vehicle type — an objective basis for evaluation and rewards
  • Automatic service and expiry monitoring — in an intensively used fleet, downtime is the most expensive
  • Cargo door opening monitoring: alert within 3–5 seconds
  • NAV fuel savings: tax-free driver allowance — in our real example, every driver reached HUF 100,000 per month within one year
  • Fuel consumption measurement from the injector (~1% error) and Engine left running monitoring — closing the cost leaks
  • Fuel log: automatic comparison of fuelled vs. measured quantity

Frequently asked questions

How can delivery be proven to the client?

The logbook automatically records every stop, with a note and an attached file (e.g. a photo); the partner visit log, filtered by partner, shows when and for how long the courier was there.

How can drivers be evaluated objectively?

The system calculates a driving-style and economy score from 32+ parameters (acceleration, braking, cornering, idling, fuel consumption), with fuel consumption normalised for vehicle type — so the driver ranking is data, not opinion.

How does economical driving turn into driver retention?

The difference between the consumption norm under Hungarian Government Decree 60/1992 and the measured consumption can be paid out tax-free: the driver receives more net, and for the company this is roughly HUF 60–70 thousand per driver per month cheaper than giving the same net amount as a pay rise.
