Agriculture: GPS tracking for machinery and tractors

Tracking in agriculture? Yes — because the season is short, diesel is expensive, and the field does not lie.

In agricultural machinery operation, everything depends on the season: a strip covered twice, diesel burned while idling and a machine breaking down at the wrong time are all direct losses. With route playback accurate to the metre, injector-based fuel consumption measurement and machine operation analysis, FleetControl turns what happened in the field into facts.

The benefits

  • Route playback accurate to the metre: the actual work done in the field is visible, including missed or double-covered strips
  • Overlaying time periods: routes from several days or several machines can be overlaid and compared
  • Fuel consumption measurement from the injector: diesel settlement is not based on verbal reports
  • Machine operating status report: driving, idling and actual work (e.g. PTO drive) measured separately
  • Operating time measurement per machine and per area
  • Fuel cap opening detection: catching diesel that "disappears" during the season
  • Weather log: weather data automatically assigned to every trip — evidence in disputed cases (e.g. spraying)
  • Object records: trailers, implements and sites with expiry dates

Frequently asked questions

What does route playback prove in the field?

It shows where the machine went, accurate to the metre: the cultivated area, missed strips and overlaps are visible — so the work done can be verified towards the client or the integrator as well.

What is the weather log good for?

The system automatically assigns the weather at the time to every trip — for example, in a later dispute about spraying, the conditions under which the work was carried out are a documented fact.

Can the device also be installed on work machines?

Yes, on both 12-volt and 24-volt systems; when a machine's power is disconnected, the device continues to run on its built-in battery and then protects itself in sleep mode.
